HFL Vanowen Apartments is a new construction, 25 unit apartment building for residents who are able to live in an independent living environment with supportive services.  This development is located in Van Nuys, California, and opened its doors on March 16, 2009.

The apartments are fully furnished one bedroom, living /dining area, full kitchen and bath.  There’s a secured entry, visitor’s lounge, community / activity room, laundry, landscaped front and patio area for socialization, and marked parking.

Residents pay 30% of their adjusted gross income for rent.  Residents are responsible for their own phones and utilities.

A part-time residential manager is responsible for routine maintenance.  Qualified case managers meet with residents and assist them with locating community resources to meet individual program needs.
